RACE VENUE: Stowe Mountain Resort Cross Country Center (253-3688)
GPS Address is: 5781 Mountain Road (Route 108).
Smugglers Notch is closed so go through Stowe Village. Cross Country Center will be on your left about 5 miles from Stowe village at the crest of a steep hill before the Toll Road entrance.
MASS START IN WAVES
RACE COURSES: Start in field by Touring Center. Terrain is hilly.
MS and JV (about 2K): To Be Finalized – potentially interlacing loops in the Field.
Varsity (4.5 K): TBD dependent on snow conditions. 1st Choice the regular “Race” Loop; 2nd Choice some loop on the Main Loop.
Maps for coaches will be posted at registration.
START TIMES: (Note: MS and JV race waves to completion before next level race begins.)
Keep alert as there is no loud announcing system and starts will happen whether you are on the line or not.

REGISTRATION: Will take place inside the new Yurt Warming Shelter next to the Touring Center Starting at 2PM.
Limited facilities space, so please plan on keeping personal gear on bus/ in vehicles.
2 bathroom stalls per gender available inside the Touring Center.
Limited warming shelter space but please for the sake of the environment no bus idling. Drivers are welcome to come and hang out by the wood stove in the Touring Center.
ROSTERS: Submit by Thursday, January 5, 2012 by NOON in Excel Format.

ENTRY FEE: $6.00 per skier. Make check payable to Stowe HS Nordic.
Maximum per team is $150. Includes trail fee for all trails.
Coach Carol highly encourages the teams to ski tour the trails before and/or after the race to enjoy sliding on white stuff since it has not been in abundance yet this year.
WAXING: The great outdoors.
CONDITIONS: As of Tuesday afternoon – cold powder snow with thin cover. We are confident there will be enough snow to pull off some kind of race course and hopefully to be able to set a track. Note: It gets very dark by 4:45PM. The Touring Center closes by 5PM.
