The ski team athletes have been busy this past week.
Last Sunday many of them participated in a 4 KM classic race at the outdoor center (Kestrel, Jacob, and Max raced -- Jared, Kelby and Kai helped out.
Jared, Kellby and Kai also went as a team and found 5 points on the ski-orienteering course. Kestrel found all 8 and had an excellent time.
Wednesday we had two relay teams (groups of 3) race at the outdoor center. Anders, Jacob, Kestrel formed one team, Jared. Olivia and Max another. Kellby joined in with another school's team. The boys...

Friday our team raced an individual classic race at Mt. Mansfield -- there were 255 racers! They had great races despite the difficutl waxing conditions. Notable is a 4th place by Anders (his second time classic skiing this year), 5th place Jacob and Olivia in 3rd place girls !!
Saturday Jacob was the lone CA team member to race a 2km skate race (with 100's of other high school and middle school racers) he took 3rd place in the middle school boys.
Sunday Anders and Kestrel skied the long uphills and icy downhill for 23 kms of the Mount Mansfield and Trapps trails at the Stowe mini marathon -- they both did it in excellent time.
